My universe will never be the same ..... ♥

"I decided you look well on me, well on me" ~ The Wanted

Anyway, how is everyone? I decided today I'm gonna do a blog to introduce y'all to who I am, the mind behind all the training with the doxies.

My name is Meaghan Darling, I'm currently 16 years old and a junior in high school (two more months till I'm a senior, woot woot!) I own 4 minitaure dachshunds (eventually to be 5 (; ), yes I'm kinda stuck on the breed. I'm from Massachusetts, Fall River actually, on May 28th of 2010 I made the 1,762 mile trip to my small town in Texas. I obviously didn't want to make the move, all my family and friends (and my entire life) was in Fall River, who would want to leave that? Little did I know what an amazing change it would be. On the day that I woke up and flew to Texas, Chloe was born, I had no idea what fate had in store for me that day. When I landed in Texas it was well over 100 degrees outside, I was instantly in a mood where I thought I would absolutely hate it. Being from a big city I got into a lot of trouble growing up, "ma'am" and "sir" were insults, as it made people seem old. So hearing people say "yes ma'am", "yes sir", and "y'all" made me feel so far from what I knew to be reality. I stayed with a friend for a few weeks, staying on a farm wasn't my piece of heaven though, but it sure made me get used to it. I quickly learned to give more respect to people (only when they earn it though), deciding I was going to have to make the best of what life handed me. After a 4 1/2 months I got Chloe, my pride and joy, (Vixy & Pearl made the huge move with us) she quickly grew on me, changing my life and who I was even more. My second summer in Texas I went back to Fall River to visit family & friends for two weeks, after the first week I realized it was no longer where I belonged. When I flew back to Texas I realized my childhood was quickly coming to an end and I needed to start taking things more seriously and grow up. When school started back up I fostered a GSD/BC/Kelpie mix for a month before finding her the perfect home, gosh she was a loon! Around the end of September I was reintroduced to my best friend (and now the guy I am utterly in love with) by one of my close friends, we've been together for almost 3 months now, and I couldn't live without him. Earlier this month I brought home Liberty, a small cream longhaired doxie, who is absolutely precious. I have every intention of attending college to further my dog training skills, and then afterwards enlist in the Army, so we'll just have to see where life takes me. All this has made me realize one thing, life is going to throw obstacles at you, so you need to think fast and make the best of whatever life gives you, jump the hurdles, and keep going.

Well Hello Beautiful ♥

On March 13, 2012 I brought home the cutest little bundle of joy. Yes, she's another dachshund, but she's precious so its ok. Her name is Liberty (Libby for short) registered name? SE's Sweet Freedom. She's just simply adorable, and super smart. Though she sleeps and cries a lot, she's kinda spoiled. But I like her, cause well? You just can't deny her! I drove to Oklahoma to pick her up, she was totally worth the drive, I hope to get into agility with her eventually, but basics and foundation first! Hm, well it's absolutely beautiful outside so I'm sitting in a field with all 4 girls typing this for y'all, when I should seriously be doing homework and everything, but who wants to do homework? Yuck. Husky is still planned, I have no intentions of getting any more doxies (unless of course I steal one of my mom's males cause I love him<3) but we'll see! Hopefully I'll have another job within 2-3 months so I can get all of the girls off pedigree and on either Canidae or Orijen (I prefer Orijen though lol) anyway, just wanted to update y'all!

Finally!

Well guys, spring break is finally here!!! It looks like Monday and Tuesday will be our only nice days though, so other than monday and tuesday we'll probably just do tricks. If I can think of some that is. Let's see, haven't updated in forever, so, sorry about that, Chloe has been doing really well with her agility training. I think we'll definitely be ready to debut at the end of this year, she's finally learned to go straight from a jump to the weaves (big breakthrough). I'll aim to put up another vlog as well as some videos of all the girls this week, but no promises, becuase I'm lazy and hate making videos. Chloe will be 2 on May 28th, then I'll be a senior less than a week later. Both Chloe and Vixy should (hopefully) be fixed by then. Then (MAYBE, depending on my situation) I might be adding another doxie to the crew, a male though, no more girl doxies. As many of you know I do plan to get my husky pup on June 21st, 2013 (my 18th birthday) so I'm still not sure about the doxie boy, and if I do get him, he'll be only a trick dog/pet. He will not be an agility dog. I found a dog training college that is 2 hours from me that offers financial aid (super happy) and I hope to be going to visit some time this week. Hopefully I'll get in when I apply next year! Anyway that's all for today guys!!! Best wishes!
